Prancing across the immense Pisa’s Cathedral Square (Piazza del Duomo) like a little girl that had too much sugar, I was frothing at the mouth, agape in awe at the sight of the world renowned structures filling my vision from end to end. Of course, I had to take silly touristy photos of myself with the tilted structure, so that’s not suitable for public viewing.
Moving on, sitting in the square are the Cathedral, Baptistery and the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa.
The Cathedral in the front, Baptistery snuggled in between and the Tower bringing up the rear.
Another angle of the Baptistery with the Leaning Tower.
Inside the Baptistery. Light bouncing off the gold covered mosaic aids in illuminating the dim cavern of the structure.
Below are a few more photos of Pisa.
