Now we’ve planned to freeze our butts off at the Werfen Ice Caves where the temperature is a constant zero degrees all year round. Couldn’t wait for it! I was so excited. But we had to have a short car ride up that induced a bit of nausea and required a short trek after that made me a tad winded due to the altitude. But it was worth it! Another awesome experience to add to the growing list. Loved it! Absolutely loved it! But beware the possibility of freezing your feet so much so that it swells. Not enough insulation, that’s for sure. Best to wear waterproof shoes.
Sadly, we weren’t allowed to take any photographs of the ice caves itself due to safety concerns.

We first had to walk through a drippy tunnel.
Then had to take a funicular to the top.
Walked some more before we reached the entrance where there was a long line which we had to queue up in to wait for our turn to enter the ice cave. Lots of visitors eh?

Below are more photographs of our visit to the Werfen Ice Caves.
