Corvin Castle is one of the largest castles in Europe and stands as one of the seven wonders of Romania. Legend says that Vlad the Impaler was imprisoned here and the castle was the source of inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Not true however, but still a gorgeous castle to visit, very gothic indeed. Laid out for construction in the 14th century, the walls of the castle has witnessed many horrors over the centuries.
