We decided to head to a nearby village called Saariselkä, which is a resort village in northern Finland. Tourists flock to this village for skiing, snowboarding and hiking in the mountainous Urho Kekkonen National Park.
Below are photos taken around Saariselkä. It is a very small village and transportation to move around the village is not required. Walking around in the biting cold weather was refreshing.
