Ohhh! I love visiting cathedrals and churches! After viewing this striking structure from the top of Spilberk Fortress, I could not wait to visit the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul. The cathedral is located on Petrov hill in the centre of the city of Brno. It is deemed a national cultural monument and classified as one of the most vital pieces of architecture in South Moravia.
Here are photos of the beautiful interior of the cathedral. Personally, I find this to be one of the more impressive cathedrals in Czech. It definitely has character and you really must visit it to fully appreciate the beauty in this one. Photos alone don’t do it justice.
Let’s start with the exterior of the church. It is so large that I could not capture its entirety in one shot from where I was standing, which was on the cathedral grounds. Below are photos taken around the exterior of the church.
Excited to finally see the inside of this grand cathedral, I was not disappointed. It was captivating, the grandiose architecture, sculptures, size of the hall, the quiet, even the smell of the place. Everything about it was enthralling.

And here are photos taken of the cathedral’s interior. A must visit! There’s just so much more to see in person.
The cathedral has a look-out point as well and we just had to go up to check it out.
And the view from atop the cathedral where we managed to catch the sunset on the right, and moonrise on the left, all in one shot.
