Colourful Český Krumlov (Czech)

We heard of this colourful little place and just had to visit! It did not seem like much when we first got off at the train station. It looked like any other town, but once we started walking towards the Old Town centre, it was like walking into another world… or a studio set.

Cesky Krumlov is a city in the South Bohemia region of the Czech Republic. It’s dichotomized by the Vltava River, with its 13th-century castle hovering high behind. The castle has Gothic, Renaissance and baroque elements, an 11-hectare garden and an original 17th-century baroque theater. From within the castle grounds atop its round belltower, you will have access to splendid panoramic views of the old town and the river.

The town of Cesky Krumlov. It looks like something from a fairy tale.

Crossing the bridge into the centre of the Old Town. Hints of what awaits on the other side can be seen.
